The
Service
The home inspection will be conducted on the property to meet or
exceed the Standards of Practice of the Canadian Association of Home &
Property Inspectors. A home inspection is a visual review of the
readily accessible systems and areas of the home. This review is
conducted in an objective manner in order to determine whether each
system or component is performing the basic function it is intended to
perform.
The inspection process begins on the exterior with a thorough review
of: the roof, foundation above grade, exterior finishes,
penetrations through the exterior walls, decks and landings, lot
grading, and garage.
And continues on the interior of the home with:
the roof, attic, and visible insulation, walls, ceilings, floors,
windows and doors, foundation, basement, and structure; the heating
and air conditioning systems (ambient temperature conditions
permitting), plumbing and electrical systems, kitchen, bathrooms and
laundry.
A typical inspection will take between three and four hours
to complete and will provide you a wealth of information to assist
you in making a sound purchase decision. |
